1994 J.LEAGUE Results and Table

League Format

Jubilo Iwata and Bellmare Hiratsuka are promoted from JFL and 12 clubs in the J.LEAGUE. 44 matches for each. Other competition regulations are equal to previous season.
(Summery: 12 clubs, two stages with championship play-offs, home-and-away for each stage, victories rank, v-goal, no lower division, March to December)

League Cup (Nabisco Cup) Format New format. Single match knock-out tournament is played by 12 J.LEAGUE clubs and 2 J.LEAGUE-associate-member clubs. V-goal is employed to decide the winner (except for the final). This cup period is the shortest that spends only two weeks in mid-summer (Wed, Sat, Wed, and Sat that's all). The Emperor's Cup Format




Matches displayed in Local Time. Stadiums are located in Japan unless otherwise noted. Some stadium sells naming rights to sponsors ( Naming Rights/Original Name ) "ET" denotes matches are played in additional extra time. "v" denotes extra time matches ended with v-goal (golden goal). "PK" denotes the winner is decided with penalty shootout.
