FIFA Club World Championship

AS THEY ARE ALL INTERESTED IN WORLD CUP DRAW (yes, we are in the same group of Aussie, Croat, Brasil!), "expanded TOYOTA CUP" is kicked off in Tokyo today. The cup's tickets used to be VERY hard to get but now it has broken. Final tickets are STILL available and prices are reduced from the list prices on the black market due to expensive regular prices. Liverpool and Sao Paulo will save the tournament?

2005.12.03
Gamba Osaka won 2005 J.League

Histric scrambled league, the champion is the most offensive team. The attack of the top scorer Araujo with Fernandinho and Oguro is very attractive that helped the poor defence and nervous Nishino's managemnt. Congratulations! Gamba.
Our Urawa Reds chased and finally reached 1 point behind without a single week top position. Kashima Antlers lead the spring / summer season, but they failed to keep their top form. Jef United Ichihara Chiba and Cerezo Osaka are new favorites. They have good systems, well organized, work hard.
2005 is the first season that employed single season (they used to have the dual season system) that brought the very exciting year.

Rather exciting. East Asian Championship 2005

Korea 0. Japan 1. 7 Aug 2005 in Daegu, Korea.

The second championship of EAFF of Japan, Korea, Korea DPR, and China, was held in Korea. Japan (as same could be true to other countreis) did not call European based players and has already lost the chance of this cup before this match.

There was a little surprise at the second match against China that Zico changed all eleven men from the first match of top players. The match was not so impressive but the striker Tanaka Tatsuya lead the team draw with China. Zico followed his selection again for the third match. For Korea, the match was for their championship. But they failed to complete tons of shoots. After joining Japanese top players of Ogasawara and Nakazawa, the match has changed and Japan won the defensive match.

As this tournament was held by suspending the J.League schedule and not so many Japanese fans have interedted in but it was rather exciting.
How about in Korea? The stadium seemed to be not full. They always enjoy the match against Japan, didn't they?

Men's winner is China and women's winner is Korea.

Japan beat Euro Champ Greece and draw with Brazil but not reached semis

Japan proved thier performance for these two matches. Each players kept looking for their chances proactively and made several beautiful chances. I can't understand what happened to Zico's team playing such a poor performance in Asian qualifiers. But, it is the good opportunity to have confidence in our team to work forward the next year's glory. - 25 Jun 2005. by takahasi@goal2002.com

Urawa won only two points after four matches and stays in the bottom.

2004 season co-champions Urawa Reds couldn't start the season 2005. As many players are not in the top form yet, and are troubed by referee's whitsle (three red cards for the first three matches), they could not get results. After the successful season 2004, the club did not move the other clubs' top players. It is said that coach Guido Buchwald prefered maturing the team for this season, but the eleven has not found their additional strength.
