Off-Season, On Match for Japan

vs Bahrain. 28 Jan vs Finland. 4 Feb vs Australia. 11 Feb

Japan lost in Bahrain for the 2011 Asian Cup qualifier on 28th January. The first month of the year is nonbusiness days for Japanese soccer calendar. Although the J.league starts from early March to last in December, the international calendar does not allow international Japanese players to go for a vacation or prepare for the new season.

Last season was closed on early December 2008. After that most clubs played the emperor's cup and Gamba Osaka played club world cup in December. As there is no vacation for internationals in all countries, this year's burden is the World Cup Qualifiers battle against Australia is scheduled on 11th Febrary. Before they play against Aussie, they failed in Bahrain.

However, the Bahrain match is out of touch to national fans, - and there was no tv broadcast from Bahrain, it was the first time for modern Japan national team, they say -, only players and especially coach Okada become nervous for the result. They must prepare for the new season and the match, "probably being the most important one of the year" against Aussie.
