Summer in the Stadium

Summer matches changes teams' performances. 1st half 2nd place Urawa and 3rd place Niigata stopped winning. Even Kashima, who stays top now, could only win two of six matches. On the other hand, slow started Shimizu, Hiroshima and G-Osaka are winning back now.

On Saturday, Hiroshima beat Urawa in their home stadium. Hiroshima coach Mihailo Petrovic said to the press, "It takes time. Football can only be progressed with processes. New coach can change players' motivations, but not so many things could be changed. We came here with long succession of processes. In season 2007, we lost many matches with opponent's counter attack and were relegated to J2. But the club decided our direction is correct. Now I am happy to develop with Hiroshima grown players.", as if he was talking to Urawa Reds club and its supporters who struggle with reforming with Volker Finke.
