Kawasaki or Kashima for J1 Championship. Chiba is relegated. C-Osaka and Sendai are Promoted from J2

18 J1 and J2 matches were playes on sunny Sunday afternoon. Jef United Ichihara Chiba is relegated to J2 for the first time since the predecessor Furukawa Soccer Club joined to the top league. This season, Oita Trinita is relegated on 24th October.

Chiba had been escaping from releagation for several seasons, but they failed. On the same afternoon, Cerezo Osaka and Vegalta Sendai confirmed their promotion to J1. It took three seasons for Cerezo and six seasons for Sendai to return to J1.

For J1, top three clubs won three points. Mortifying Nabisco Cup silver medalist Kawasaki or recovering Kashima run for the title.
