Good-bye Okasa-san. 0-0 w/ China, 1-3 w/ Korea in East Asia Championship
10 men vs 10 men match ended with disappointing lose with Korea.
Japan finished as the third place of the East Asia Tournament.
Mr. Okada's credit was that he accepted to be a national coach after
the sudden stroke of Mr. Ivica Osim and he tried to follow Osim's
concept. Sad to say to Okada, although he followed Osim's way (it was
needed from Japanese soccer family), it was not his own
approach. Okada was good at reaction soccer that kills oppeonent's
feature. This soccer from national team seems to be from assistant
coach Oki Takeshi came from Ventforet Kofu.
The real reason why I use the word "good-bye" is that he seems not to
be preparing the World Cup game, but only to win this East Asian
cup. He should have let player known that this was the good
preparation for South Africa, and he should have given opportunities
to sub players. It is very difficult to play with Mr. Okada. Thank you,
but the leader should have kept his way and prepare in long-range.
